These notes contain overview of DataDefractor 1.1 SR-1 released on July 16, 2007. The document includes enhancements, fixes of issues, backwards compatibility notes as well as system requirements.
Notes
This is the first official release of DataDefractor Solo.
It includes bug fixes and new features introduced as a result of the user feedback from DataDefractor SSIS 1.0 SR-1.

New Features:

The new features of DataDefractor Solo 1.1 SR-1 include:

  • Output includes the UTF8 Byte Order Mark

Bug Fixes:

  • *.DDX should open and load by DataDefractor Solo when user double click to open DDX wizard file.
  • Fixed by replacing special control characters with their hexadecimal representations.

Backward Compatibility:

This is the first version of DataDefractor Solo. Backward compatibility does not apply.

System Requirements
Software Requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows XP SP2 operating system, Windows Server 2003 SP1or Windows 2000 SP4. DataDefractor has native 64-bit support for the x64-bit editions of the operating systems.
  • SQL Server 2005 Integration Services SP1.
  • .NET Framework 2.0.

Hardware Requirements:

  • 600 MHz Pentium III-compatible or faster processor; 1 GHz or faster processor recommended.
  • 512 MB of RAM or more.
  • 50 MB of available hard disk space recommended.
  • Super VGA (1,024×768) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor.
